Refund Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026
The whole policy, in one line

Email us within 14 days with your order number and we refund you in full. We do not ask why.

How to get a refund

Two routes, both landing in the same inbox. Either works, within 14 days of buying:

No form, no questions. Gumroad has no self-service refund button — on Gumroad the creator sets the refund policy and issues the refund, so reaching us is the whole process. Please do use it: we would far rather refund you than have you dispute the charge with your bank, which costs us both more and helps nobody.

How long it takes

What happens to the files

Your licence ends when the refund is issued, and you should delete the files. We have no way to check and we are not going to pretend otherwise — this line exists so the position is clear, not because there is a mechanism behind it.

Your statutory rights, and why ours are wider

EU and UK law gives consumers a 14-day right to withdraw from most online purchases. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once download begins — which is what you agree to by ticking the box at checkout, and it is what lets us give you the files straight away instead of making you wait out a cooling-off period.

We then give the 14 days back voluntarily. That is this policy. It is more generous than the law requires, we offer it on purpose, and it is not affected by the checkbox at checkout.

Separately, and regardless of the 14 days: if a file is corrupt, incomplete, or not what the page said it was, you are entitled to a remedy under consumer law — tell us and we will fix it or refund you, whichever you prefer.

The honest limits

Why this policy is worded like this

A guarantee that hedges is not a guarantee. If we cannot stand behind a $12 book for two weeks without adding conditions to it, the book is the problem — and a brand with no face on it cannot afford the kind of small print that makes people wonder what the catch is.
